How do I reschedule an existing appointment without forfeiting my deposit?

Please text me (phone number in footer!) more than 48 hours prior to your appointment start time and I will be happy to move your existing appointment. I offer one complimentary reschedule per deposit. Thank you!

I am an existing client, how do I book another appointment?

Clients are encouraged to pre-book at the end of their existing appointment. While rebooking is not guaranteed due to high demand, it's an excellent way to secure your preferred slot!

Long-standing recurring clients will receive an email with the current password to access online booking 24/7 bi-monthly.

Can you let me know if you have a cancellation? Can you squeeze me in?

If you are an existing client with access to online booking and you'd like to be notified of an opening on a day I'm working you can add yourself to the waitlist thru online booking. To do this, select your preferred service and preferred date and tap the "Join Our Waitlist" button at the bottom of the booking screen. I will be automatically notified if an opening becomes available that matches your request.

Unfortunately, I cannot send personal updates when I have a cancellation or gap in my schedule.

What are gel extensions? What is the difference between your offerings?

Apres Gel-X or full-cover gel extensions are pre-formed gel tips that cover your entire nail bed and adhere using gel. Because they don't just sit at the tip of your nails (like acrylic or hard gel extensions) they tend to have a stronger nail structure and are less prone to breaking. This type of gel extension comes in various sizes and shapes of that allow you to customize your mani to your liking. Hand sculpted gel extensions are built on a nail form (sticker) that sits under your natural nail during the sculpting process.

Gel X is great for one-off manicures that require length, hand sculpted is better if you want to grow out your natural nails and have long nails for more than a few manicures.

Does your extension pricing include the cost of a manicure?

No. All our gel extension pricing is an add-on price to the cost of a structured gel manicure. Please make sure to add a manicure to your appointment if you are booking extensions.

What if I only want a single-color manicure? How would that be priced?

Because we aim to do nail art at every appointment, we do not offer a lower price for single color manicures. A single-color manicure would be booked as a gel manicure + basic nail art.

What if I'm running late for my appointment?

What is parking like?

There is free, unmetered public on-street parking out front on Bishop St and on State St. Please adhere to posted signs regarding zone 3 parking restrictions (further down Bishop St!)

Please do not park in the lot next to the building as that is reserved for building residents, not our customers.

How long should my appointment take?

Max estimated appointment times are listed when you schedule an appointment. Appointments rarely run longer than this estimate.

What are your preferred forms of payment?

I accept payment via most major credit/debit cards using my online booking platform. I do not accept cash, venmo, or other app-based payment methods.

My nail is chipped or broken—can you fix it?

Nails chipping or breaking shortly after your appointment are rare and become increasingly possible the longer you go between appointments.

If your nail chips, breaks, smudges, or needs repair within 24 hours of your appointment—text me to book a complimentary nail fix.

If your nail chips or is lifting in-between appointments and you'd like to know if you should move your next appointment to a sooner date, text me a photo and I'll let you know what I suggest!

How do I purchase a gift card?

How long will my manicure last?

How long your manicure lasts depends on the health of the natural nails prior to the appointment and a client's aftercare after the appointment. We have some clients who last 2 weeks and some who have lasted 6-8 weeks!

Nails are jewels—not tools! We have some suggestions for aftercare to keep your manicure lasting as long as possible. We suggest our clients book their next appointment in 3 weeks for best results.

Do you remove or soak off work done at another salon?

I do not remove work done at another salon, without exception.
Please come to your first appointment with bare, natural nails.‍

‍If you currently have product on your nails and need to remove it you can:
‍1. Return to the salon that did the work and ask for a removal.
2. Go to a local salon who offers removal services.
3. Follow this tutorial on my instagram to remove it yourself.

The reason why I do not offer removal of other techs work is a consideration of safety and timing. I am unable to assess the health of your natural nail without seeing it at the start of your appointment. I also do not know exactly what type of product is on your nails until I try to soak it off—some nail products are unable to soak off with acetone, and some take longer than others to remove. Due to the inability to account for the amount of time it will take to do removal, and due to allergies I have to certain compounds in gel and other nail enhancement products, and other salons using potentially harmful or hazardous materials and manicuring practices, I believe it is safest for me and my client that I do not remove work done at another salon.

Do you take walk-ins?

I do not. Great nails take time and the length of my appointments do not work well with offering walk-ins.

Do you offer pedicures?

We have a passion for nail art and don't currently offer pedicures—if there is enough interest perhaps we will in the future!

Do you offer acrylic nail enhancements?

I do not. I achieve the look of acrylic nail extensions without all the chemicals or smell by using Apres Nails Gel-X gel nail extensions or hand-sculpting soft gel extensions. You can find more information on our gel extension add on services on our Services page.

Do you offer dip powder, SNS, polygel, or powder gel?

I do not. I achieve the same (or better!) longevity and structure using my structured gel manicuring process.
